Henry, Tomorrow clear the area of all combustable materials, Fill that cylinder with DSL then put in a splach of gas on top to ignite it with and let it burn itself out. Then take a hammer and block and drive it out. If that piston is more toward the top of the stroke so that there isn't much liquid holding capacity, you may need to repeat the burn process twice or so. The fire will expand the sleeve just enough to get that piston out. It can be save, if need be for future use. Then let the sleeve cool down and use your sleeve puller. Hope this helps.
Later,
John A.

Just dont beat on the rod or you will bend, break it. Also if you go from the top and drive it out dont let it hit the floor and damange the rod.

The crank is out? and the piston is in the hole stuck. You can either drive the sleeve and piston as a unit out as mentioned below or, before doing that, I would consider a solid piece of wood down in the sleeve onto the top of the piston with a "very big" hammer. I think with some very solid whacks it will break loose--and sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn"t and in either event, it is very aggrivating.

Since you probably aren"t planning on reusing the piston, find a large long punch or something, and get your big hammer, and drive against the bottom of the piston. Once you"ve got the piston and sleeve out, cut the sleeve in half lengthways, so you can remove the rod.
