Awhile back I got good info here on removing the pulley.I took it off an IA and was going to use it on the SA since the SA pulley has a couple of chips knocked out.The IA pulley has a set screw holding a key in the crank. I don"t see that on the SA. What holds the puley tight to the crank on the SA? The part# on the IA pulley is 6502D and on the SA 6502DA

Those damper pulleys usually need to be heated in order to reinstall them since they're a pressed fit. You won't need that set screw then. Was the
damper pulley difficult to remove? Hal

No, I put a bearing pulley block behind the pulley, put the 2 jaw puller behind that , tightened it down and gave it a good wack with a 2# hammer. more tightening, a couple more wacks and it it eased off.

Put the damper pulley in your oven and heat it to 250 degrees. Use heavy gloves to handle it. Hal
PS: You should replace that seal in the timing gear cover. It is probably brittle from age.
