Hello it's me again,This site has been so much help I thought I would try another question, On my 1949 C the touch control has not worked since I purchased it a couple of months ago. Well now I have the tractor running like it should. I went out and started it tonight and the hydro started working very well. The phone rang I went in then come back out and restarted but now they don't move again, also the levers don't go up as far as before. Where should I start looking for the needed repairs? Thanks again for the past and future info.

There is a very specific process for setting the stops correctly. The odd thing is that it is intermittent which does not seem to point to the stops. Another problem for you is that the unit needs to be functioning in order to set them. I have the Blue Ribbon Service Manual on the touch control. I can take a look tonight in the troubleshoooting section. The overhaul kits are still available and it might not be a bad idea to put one in.

Im with Gauger on this one, also as Gene suggested check your fluid level and work your control levers back and forth. I have the Blue Ribbon service manual also. For $8 well worth the money through Binder Books ! They have a trouble shooting section and also a number of tests that can be performed with a pressure guage and lifting weights with the lift arms to determine how the unit is working !

there are stops inder the hy rockshafts that mite be loose or not set correct. You mite need to move the levers back and forth several times to remove the air pockets in the hy fluid. Before you start it again remove the filler plug as there mite be pressure in the resivour. Be carefull removing the filler plug.

You may be low on hydraulic fluid.
