I need the ring gear that drives the seed plate and the round plate that holds the seed plate in place. When I got the planter it only had one side operational. I also have a corn seed plate that is supposed to have 8 ports but it now only has 6 ports and is so loose that corn will get under it and freeze the system and break a chain.
Thanks for your response
Charlie

Charlie all seed plates are not the same. Some are thicker than others. The thinner ones require a filler ring to take up slack, they come in 4 or 5 different thicknesses. They fit under the plates to raise plate so this dosen't happen. If you will take the plate out and look on it there will be a number. If you can tell me the number I can tell you which filler ring you need. If you will find a part number on the pieces you need I think I do have them. I may also have a extra set of plates.

The seed plate hold down number is RA7037.
The corn plate has these markings:
Small Corn IH C
CPC 5044
I also have a Jumbo Shelled Peanut plate CP 5194
and a Spanish shelled peanut plate R 7032
They also have an additional set of numbers
Gear 7 9 12
Dist 14 11 8
What do those numbers mean?
Thanks for your help with this.
The duplex planter body did not have any writing on it that i could find.

Sorry Charlie, the 1949 book I have shows none of those numbers. Maybe your planter is completely different than the 4 I have. I went and looked at the old junk planter, and there isn't a number on it that matches your hold down number. I expect I was thinking of a different type planter all together. The ones I have all have the same type planters on them. C221,250,C220 and a old HM planter. Maybe some of the suggestions from the other guy's will be of help to you. Sorry
