Hi all, I have the chance to buy Farmall/McCormick 450 Hi-crop diesel(stuck)with the single front wheel. The tires are bad but hold air. It is missing the seat and pedestal. It rolls. Most sheet metal is there but no fenders. Is $1500.00 a fair price? I am new to farm tractors so thanks in advance for your help.Roger

Roger,

If itr has a single front wheel, it is probably a cotton picker tractor rather than a High Clear.

Hi Harold, Did they make a whole peck of those Cotton picking tractors? Where on the tractor would I find a mark or casting # that will tell the difference? Thanks for your help, Roger

Be forwarned they are quite expensive to do engine work on. Search Bates Corp. And check out some of them prices. If you can afford to work on it I would guess they are rare as there was only a little over 7000 diesels combined. I dont know how many were Hi-Crops. It couldn't be more than 2 or 300 if that. But this is wild guess on my part. Maybe someone will know more about them.
