The other day I was just messin with some spray paint and i had this grate idea so i sanded it all down and put 3 coats of rustoleum primer and 2 coats of rustoleum red paint. I dont think it came out to bad what do you all think? It has some piting but you can not see it unless you get close to it. Thanks for looking

Use some primer putty, that will fill the pits. If yur really fussy, use some high build primer, and all but the biggest pits will disappear.

not to nit pick or anything, but its spelled "great", not grate, sorry that was bugging me, heh =)

I wish my tractor was that pretty of a red color, instead of rusty brown

Ive used rustoleum on my truck on the rear bumper and ever one tell's me I have the shineyest bumper in this town lol Thanks

Im working on one more part right now with a lot of piting. Im gonna try and see if I can find a good way to get the pits where you cant see them.

Farmall boy, There's a much easier way to fill pits than Bondo. I use Evercoat. It gets very hard and sands alot easier. There's also a good product called Iceing. Both need a catalyst. Directions on containers. Just follow instructions. Lots of parts houses carry both. Either is twice as fast to use as Bondo. You can start sanding in 15 or 20 minutes after application in 65 or above tempatures. Good luck. Don

If the pitting is not to deep you can also put on a thick coat of primer and sand it down a little until it fills up the pits. If pits are very deep Do what Rusty Farmall said.

This will be a good time for you to experiment with body filler "bondo". A light coating on those pitted areas, and then sand it smooth. The bondo will fill the pits.

All right ill go get me some bondo and try that im not trying to paint my hole tractor yet untell I get it runing im just doing parts hear in there giveing me some thing to do and one good thing is thay wont rust any more with the primer. Thanks all for the comments

LOL yea it shure does but it runs grate. Ive been working on that one to ive had sence I was 14 I got it for 700 it was my grate grate uncels truck been in are family sence it was brand new back in 71 ive all ready have to meany things to work on and not innuff time to do it all.
