Hi guys,I was just wondering how you adjust the length of the clutch rod on a 966 gear drive with the hydraulic assist cylinder in the center of the clutch rod. Do I loosen up the nuts on each side of the cylinder and then take the pins out of both clevises, and then adjust them both to get the appropriate length, or do I just adjust one side? On a side note, has anyone ever heard of a new clutch that makes a clunking noise? Ever since we had a new clutch put into it, at low idle, you can hear a kind of clunking with the clutch disengaged. When you push the pedal in, the noise seems to go away. Also, when you rev up the engine, it gets louder up to about 900 rpm, and then goes away. The clutch is very grabby, but other than that seems to work okay. I figure that adjusting the clutch and T/A may clear up the grabbiness. I already have the steps that tractor vet uses to adjust them, and was just wondering about the hydraulic assist. Thanks.
