well it is that time of year again and we are getting cranked up . Finished up the last of the corn that we had no room for last fall as we ended up leaving over three loads standing . My buddy and i pulled the 325 out hooked to the 706 Gasser gave it a once over with the grease gun and a bucket of old oil hooked to the box and off we went , this fiel was the last one we planted last year and the last of the no till as last year was our first . On every field we would make changes to the planter and i do think that when we did this field we now have it down pat . Now i have had fields of conv. till corn that have made real good and at time gone over the 200 BPH this field has topped all the corn that i have ever put in the ground . Last fall we plum ran out of room we even have two sliage wagons full to the roof with ear corn plus the cribs . Now after a winter of grinding feed for the cows and the two dozen pigs we had enough room to get the last picked . The old 706 sure sounded sweet worken . we used the 706 because we were not sure as to how soft the fields were and if we were going to PLANT something sure did not want to plant the 1066 . If the ran would have held off today i was thinking about maybe plowen tomarrow . That ain't ah going to happen now as it has been rainen on and off all day at time hard.

Yep, I'm sure it sounds nice after a winter's nap to hear that old 706 pullin' again. I know I sure enjoyed hooking the double-disk to Dad's H and letting her pull for all she was worth! And of course nothing beats the smell of freshly worked soil!
