I have a 350U with fast-hitch. The instructions say to extend the cylinder all the way up to install the vertical float lock-out pin (I just purchased it from an IH dealer) located at the bottom. It goes in about half way then stops because there is misalignment between the pin holes of the cylinder bell crank and the side plate.

I’d prefer not to go to a smaller pin. Any suggestions?

On my 330 I just have to shake the hitch up and down until the hole align. Or if I am working alone, put a jack under the hitch. It is definitly easier if you do it with nothing, not even a draw bar, attached to the hitch

We used ours with down pressure quite often and it went in and out easily. There may be a bit of dirt or buildup preventing the instasllation of the pin. Look it over pretty well. A smaller pin might work, but i do not recommend it. a control pin letting go at less than rated shear, could drop, or spring the force applied to the system unexpectedly. Possible harm/breakage might result. JimN

Can you use a pinch bar to align the holes? Then install the pin. Hal
