I put new decals on my tractor today and they have little air bubbles under them. I have rubbed and they are still there. What did I do wrong?

On the subject of deacal, is there something you can put over them to protect them. Ie clearcoat, etc ?
Or will clearcoat shrivel them up ?

Before you put the decal on, wet the area down with water and dish soap. This allows you to move the decal around, peel it up and relocate it if necessary. Once it's in place, squeegee the water out from underneath and it will stick down.

A piece of advice: DO NOT get your sticky fingerprints on the back of the decal, or it will peel up.

JC ;Those bubbles are trapped air underneath your decal...if not too many or too large, you can "slit" (small slit) on bubble and rub down, preferably with a plastic piece such as a credit card or plastic putty knife. Next time, or if they look bad enough to replace, wipe down area to place decals with a mild dish detergent solution and then "squeegee" them on with a plastic squeegee ! Best of luck !! Jim B.

Hi JC, Take a needle and poke a hole in the air pocket, then rub the bubble out. Works good, Charles
