You should Click on "Keyword" and type in mash for laying hens. You can probably talk to your
local mill as to what they would recommend too.

We always bought our mash for the chickens and we fed them corn and oyster shells. My mom always raised Rhode Island Reds, but she had raised the White Leghorns years ago. She always bought the chicks and raised them in a brooder house. She not only raised pullets for laying she raised a lot of roosters for eating. We not only ate the roosters, we ate the hens too when they quit laying. She would bake them. My mother-in law
stewed their old hens. When the roosters were frying size we would eat them and if got real large they were baked too. All that manure went on the garden and was plowed under. Only went to the store about once a week. We had hogs and
a beef for eating too. Had to quit raising hogs since we shipped milk. Hal
