Guys, Just bought a 2 handle spool valve and don"t know where to mount it. I am guessing it is too heavy to hang on the light bar so most likely I would have to have something fabricated to hold it. Does anyone have pictures or idea on how to mount this thing? If anyone would like to make one for me and I will gladly pay for your services, within reason. I am not too good with that sort of thing and don"t have anyway to make one. I would like to get this thing going so I can hook up the loader and 3pt on the old 39 H. Any suggestions is very much appreciated. Ed

Someone mounted a piece of pipe on the fender of my C. I think he may have either used it for holding an umbrella or for some type of hand tool. When I needed to mount a spool valve on the C, I added another pipe over the top of that pipe, and the valve mounts to a bracket welded to that pipe.

The valve can be put anywhere if you are willing to consider a remote connection. On the tractor below, I used a snowplow "joy-stick" and cables to run a two spool valve. Most valves have provisions for mounting solinoids. That gives you another option. Hoses can be expensive so you might consider selecting a location that reduces hose length.

Here ya go. The tractor is a 660D built near the end of its production run.

Looks like, between you and I, we will be heating up Photobucket's servers this afternoon.

I made a stand for mine that bolts into the threaded holes on the axle housing made for bolting on the fenders.

Steven, that is very similar to what I did on a super M about 20 years ago. Wish I still had that tractor.

I don't know what Steven is using but here is something easy and simple to setup. It is a Fisher Snowplow pump/reservoir in one unit. Not alot of volume or capacity. I think performance would be similar to a power steering pump.

Cross brand with max rpm of 3600, but I only run it 2000rpm for around 15 GPM.

i have a "live" pump on mine. did have a single spool on the belly pump before. simply run the pressure line to one side (in) on your valve and the return line to the fill port on the belly pump. engage pump and it will work. link shows how i run an external tank now with the live pump and 1 set of remotes plus the 3pt. on a twin valve. scroll to see additional pics.
