I just bought a house and some property in the country. I grew up on my grandfathers farm and he had two old Gravely walk behind tractors. I was young when he passed and they were auctioned off but I am looking hard for a gravely because I think they are a very neat peice of equipment. I am in West Michigan. Please let me know if anyone knows of a place that may have one vintage gravely sitting around even if it needs some work. Thank You!

I have got a gravely as well which I will gladly give to the first person for $100. Will need to pick it up in Virginia. It has not run in a couple of years, it has the trailer seat,, front attachments include, sickle bar, auger, rotary mower..may be more parts. This tractor is in the shed and I can hold for a couple of months. Pass on to you friends if you are not interested. Can call me 703-303-9111

I live in W Mi also (Ravenna) and have used Gravelys all my life and My Uncle was a dealer in Muskegon for a while. I see them around quite often. Keep your eyes open and try going to a few auctions. One Will turn up sooner or later. Their is a gravely collectors site also. Try finding them on the web, they may be able to help you, or try the garden tractor board on this site. Good luck. Dave.

Dave,

I'm still keeping my eyes peeled for an old gravely. I actually went to an auction 3 weeks ago and bid on a cub cadet but it went a lot higher than I thought it was worth. I'm in Nunica so not too far away. Do you have any gravelys worth selling or know if your uncle could refer me in the right direction?

Be sure and get the older Gravely engine. The newer Kohler engines without the oil pump aren't nearly as good as the old Gravely engines. I've got one I made a stainles steel cover for (replaced the sheet metal) and added dual turf wheels. I run the carburator dry after each use and it starts right up, haas good oil pressure, and runs well.

There was a dealer in SC who speacializes in old Gravley's and I've bought parts from him and even shipped him an engine and he rebuilt it and shipped it back for about $100 total.

I have 1 ½ Gravely walk-behind tractors. One has the engine & magneto overhauled(never started) and there is a chassis of a second tractor. There are many extra parts from an old dealer.
I want to sell them but am some distance from you in Fergus Falls, MN. My son & I are coming to MI in June to fish so might be able to transport them.
I can take pictures for you if you are interested.
