***Seven to nine inches**** of the beautiful white "moldy rain" as some call it. The enclosed photo shows a polar bear eating vanilla ice cream, see the sharp detail! SNOW, I LOVE IT! Snow, covers the ugly brown; snow, quiets the outdoor sounds; snow, reflects light and makes night driving easier-when the snow isn"t falling and blowing that is; snow, headlights reflect off uncountable glistening snowflakes showcasing the earth in pristine wonder; . My prayer of waking up early-two hours ago-was answered. Having a homemade cinnamon roll and coffee to get me going, I am off. [HEY, I heard that!] With coffee and cameras, I am out to capture a little of natures new cover on the landscape, architecture and to surround my 340 for a proper portrait to show you fine folks. Enjoy your day, I will...Sheri will be on one shoulder and dad on the other - life is good, and as Paul Harvey says "...see you in a few miles" **************************

You should have 200 cows calving in this crap. Spent the whole day yesterday dragging in and warming calves. Lost two during the night... real nice stuff this snow is in the middle of april! Later, gotta go check for calves.

Most cattle producers here in SD have gone to Feb/early March calves for this reason. Cold is a lot better than wet and cold!

But here in the "West" MN, I get up early to shovel,,, and find only wet same old gone to water melt of yesterday. Oh well spring is upon us. The thirteen stripers are trying the patients of the cats. Sometimes they live through it. JimN
