Hello all. It"s been a couple years since I"ve been on YTmag. I searched back to last Dec for any hint on replacing the Hyd pump on a 350 rowcrop. I saw a pump for $523 under Farmall parts but I was wondering if there are any other possible ways to get the pressure back up. Have any of you access to rebuilt pumps? Yes, I know there is always buying used ones which may or may not work. Buyer beware etc... The 3 valve assembly is rather loose too. Been used too much over the last 50 years. I can always buy a new pump but I thought this would be a good chance to get back on YTmag and ask for other suggestions.. Thanks all. Agpilot

Jim is right these pumps are not really rebuildable. You should go ahead and get a new one, that way you know what you have. It should be good for another 50 years. A used one would be ok if you can get a guarantee on it, but that may or may not happen. I am not sure what you mean about the valves being loose, I suppose you are refering to the handles and linkages.

The aluminum housings are what is usually toast. If the tips of the gears have worn into the housing, there is not much that new bushings, or end plate machining will do.. JimN

Thanks JimN. Your comments about the aluminum housing was the type of info that helps. Not having a good pump takes away from the value of having the 2Pt Fasthitch and a loader etc...

To Geo: Yes I was refering to the Hyd levers the driver operates... Thanks guys... Ytmag forums are very helpful. Agpilot
