Spent some time yesterday working on a mid mount grader blade for the 'C' Used a piece out of a LP tank and mounted it on the cultivators. Got it to far forward but it works good. after playing with it I think I will move it back some and off set it to one side more. Larry

You need to look at some of the bigger graders and rig up the blade so you can lift one side or the other and also push one end forward or back as needed. I know I'll never use a back blade for working on my road again but I also own an Allis WC Speed patrol which is a road grader but doesn't have hyds but big hand wheels to lift the blade. 2 wheels to lift on each side. Pictures of it in my web site looking at it may give you more ideas of how to set your up better

by moving one foot up or down more then the other I will be able to tilt it and by sliding one mount forward or back I should be able to direct it to one side or the other. I will let you know how it turns out. I think I need to find another LP tank and add about 6 in to each sid.

Ya they work better if the blade will stick out past the rear tire tracks, never have figured out why they do but they do.

I Have one, Also in reply to Larry in GA, 05-08-2007 02:11:22
Dad had it made to mount on the bedders. It works very well and we used it for road maintanance for years.

But, once I got a three-point blade that could be tilted more than five degrees or so, I never looked back.

problem with a 3point blade is when u go up a smill hill, the blade tears into the ground and makes the hill steeper and its a never ending cycle. I currently have this issue, and am thinking of figureing a way to mount mine under the belly. Not sure if theres enough heighth below the belly tho.
