A distant relative has two F-30s and wanted me to find out if anyone was looking for this style of tractor. I believe they were running several years ago. Are they rare? He's getting old and is thinking of selling them. I haven't seen them yet and may get some pictures this next week. What do you think? Are there any options that would be a plus?

A pair of F-30s! If the serial numbers are consecutive, they would be much more valuable.

Yes, they are rare. I've never seen one, though granted I don't live in the midwest. People like them to complete having one each of the F-series. I would certainly hope you wouldn't dream of scrapping them. Even if they are not running they would indeed by worth a fair amount to someone both intact or as parts sources to resurrect other vanishing F-30's.

If he does decide to sell them I might be interested, as I am trying to get one of each of the F-series.

F30? Not as big a production as F20 but not really rare- check archives IHC, about 25/30,000 made? Some interest in them- 10-20, f20, f30 same basic engine design. Comparison for work- F20 about like H, F30 about like M. Have seen a few at shows in Iowa and Wisconsin, in 50s they were still being used as second plow tractors, general use in Iowa with H/M sized equipment. Double transmissions, lights, PTO, Belt pulleys, hydraulic pump features varied. Electric start is rare. Engine free, running, tire condition would determine price to collector, scrap value by weight for about 2 tons iron alone would be $200.00? RN
