I've use the offset PTO (IH 140) with a 6' woods finish mower centered between the tractor rear wheels. The drive shaft is cocked at both 'U' joints. The 'U' joints are still going strong after over 20 yrs mowing. Centering the mower with the tractor sure simplifies things.

I have a 45 farmal A that I pull a 5' King Kutter with! the 1st cut in late may early june is a bit rough on her as I only use 1/2 to 2/3 of the mower, but later in the summer when then the grass is'nt growong as fast or as thick, she'll do the whole 5'

My father in law pulled a 7 foot Bushhog with his B and mowed thick grass and everything with it. I pull that same mower now with a C. You do need the over running clutch on your tractor shaft.

Just hook the tounge of the shredder in line with the pto sure will save the u-joints.
