I guess we should all go back to using horses. That would really bring the prices down.

My reply:but then the wacko tree-huggers will emerge hounding you horse-power folks as they have chided those cow herds saying they are the source of methane gas with their belchin". Now, if we could just harness the BS in politicians and put that in a digester, converting it to fuel...Some days I just can"t help myself, today is another helpless day. I gots"ta go fill my tank now. I will however refrain from using fuel in the lawn mower...it"t raining.

I am curious about all that methane debate. I first heard this on the news 2 or 3 years ago. There was a woman on there talking about cows farting. I have been around cows all my live, I have worked cows on contract with neighbors, have pulled scores of calves and the list goes on. I have yet to witness a cow farting. When a cow farts a sream of thinned down grass remains shoots a nice distance. I think the 4 compartment stomach pretty much takes care of the farting issue. Some horses on the other hand pass gas every time a hoof hits the ground.

Tell me about. My mare farts everytime she moves her feet. She's the fartenest horse I have ever seen.

Oh, they do. I've heard it before. It was a fart. Nothing else came out.

Bob, I have pushed hundreds and hundreds through the working pins and have never witnessed this. I have been paying attention to it since hearing of the contraversey and not a peep yet. Maybe my cows are to polite.

I had a sow the farted a lot. My wife was giving her a glass of milk. She must have inhaled some of because she coughed. When she was coughing she was farting up a storm. That was one cool pig.

I didn't buy gas today, or yesterday, or the day before, or the day before that. I purchased fuel on Saturday, and should make it until Sunday before I have to buy again... Unless I end up winning the eBay auction that I'm watching with a gas guzzling 79 Dodge Lil' Red Express Truck...

I doubt my bid will be enough to bring it home, though. I'm just too cheap... Dad has an 86 Dodge W150 4x4 that I can have for free after working for him this summer - I'll probably go that route, it will be cheaper in the short term and probably the long run. I'm sure a slant 6 4-speed will make better mileage than a hi-po 360 auto.

Guess I'll stop rambling now.

Well we could all go to diesel and make our own bio-diesel. You can legal make 300 gallons per quarter without paying taxes. For a $4500.00 investment you can buy a home brew plant that makes forty gallons a day.
