1966 Farmall 656G Hydraulic Housing Drain Plug

Hi, I just purchased my first Farmall. I'm changing out my fluids but I can't locate #28 in the picture, described in the owners manual as the "Hydraulic Housing Drain Plug". (I checked the archives first but struck out) Thank you for any knowledge you can provide.

That is a bit misleading, isn't it? :>)

The picture is pointing at the third point/fast hitch arm lockout so simply can't be a "plug".

The manuals were written and published far before the tractors even went into production, so there are errors found from time to time.

The drain back is actually located inside the hydraulic housing and you don't even have to concern yourself with it..... ..

Thank you. Next I apparently need to make a tool to remove two of the three bottom drain plugs. 1/4" socket head is too small, 3/8" is too large. Does everyone just grind down a 3/8" extension to fit the bottom plugs?

Yes,

I just went thru this on a head. Took an old extension that the ball had fallen out of and carefully ground it down to 5/16".

Worked like a charm.
