HI! I am a Mainer from generations back,a nd inherited a farmall tractor, which I am trying to restore to the pix of my grandaparents using it. I ordered the stickers for it, and have no prob with the obvious ones, but have two that I don't know the proper placement of- both are yeallow semicircels, one with LH...D...B, and one with O...D..B.
Does anyone know where one the original model these were placed,, so I don't screw it up?
Thanks!
Little farmer girl

In '43, it would have used the (L H D B) on the headlight switch and the (O D B) was not used. However, most tractors in '43 probably didn't have lights and neither would be used.

By the way, the big decals on the sides of the hood would say "McCormick-Deering Farmall" and NOT ahve the IH symbol next to the "Farmall".

both are for the light switch, if so equipped. earlier models with only a cutout on the generator had 4 position light switches to also control the charging rate. newer models had a voltage regulator and a 3 position light switch. some early models were field retrofitted but still have the 4 position switches with the charge rate selection disabled.

simple answer is check the number of positions your light switch can turn to. O D B stands for Off Dim Bright, and L H D B stands for Low charge rate High charge rate Dim lights Bright Lights. hope this helps
