First I would like to thank everyone for all of the help. A big thank you to Harry for the pictures and the instructions for the hook up and all. Went back to my Grandfathers today and found everthing but the fert. hooper and the mounting bracket for the same. Found the top to the hopper so I thought that it would have been there but no such lucky. Looked on the internet and Ebay for a hopper or the mouting hardware but no luck so far. Is it possiable to make (fabricate) a hopper are is there more to it than just a holder for the fert?
I made a huge electrolysis tank today and a power supply for it also. Wanted some thing with a little more amperage output than a battery charger.
Super-A you were right the drive sproket was still on the SA.
Again Thanks For All The Information also for Putting Up With Me!!!!!
Keith

Keith, I spoke with Brad and he can get those new from IH. 425.00 bucks. He also has used ones in stock. one with the big square fiber hopper is 225.00 or he will change it to the standard size fiber hopper. one with metal hopper is 150.00 or he said he had a couple of metal ones that were dented a little for 100.00. He also has the complete unit. You should give him a call and he can doctor you right up.

I've seen the ones at wengers they are new. They have them made locally out of stainless steel. I tried to find out who made them for them to see if they could be made out of galvanized but Wengers wouldn't tell me who they had make them. I figure if they will make them out of SS why not galv?

I was wodering about that. My buddy the IH man has folks call me every now and then looking for those, because he can't get the bottoms from IH anymore. He can get the fiberglass hopper but not the cast iron bottoms.

Yes they are expensive. The only part you can get new is the fiberglass hopper. No bottoms for them unless it is NOS or used.

I have a question about your question.

In the topic you say 180 planter but then you talk about fertilize hopper.

If your talking about the fertilize hopper it will be a differant number. On Super A's I think they were 101's. They are talked about in the 144 cultivator manual. You probly want to get one of those, real handy book.

I thought of something else.

Since your going to mount the fertilize hopper and planter you better check to see if the bolts are there. They are special bolts 5/8, 1 1/2 inches long, and have "drop shoulders".

I just bought four of them from Sam Adams in Tatum Texas. I checked at Case and they wanted $18 each. Sam sold me used ones for $10 each.

Heres a pic of the 101 Fertilize Unit.
