I need (or want) to add a live-hydraulic system to my '43 H, to support an add-on three-point hitch (Saginaw). Who makes one, who sells one, or where can I find one? Would Tractor Supply Co. sell this? If this works out, I'll do the same thing to my BN. Thanks!

Wow! You guys are great help! And, Steven, thanks for the terrific photos. Now I know how and where to begin. I'll let you know how it all turns out. Dan

Dan, Here is a picture of an M&W setup that is listed on eBay at this time:

The seller claims that this unit is from a running Farmall H.

As CNKS stated in his post below: "They no longer make that pump and parts are hard to find".

I have the M&W pump setups on 2 H's (a 41 & a 46)and a 49 M. So far all of them have held up well and have been good units.

If they ever quit working I will change to a setup from a Super H or 300 for my H's, or a setup from a Super M or 400 for my M.

I really like the live hydraulics a lot more than the non live belly pump setup.

I am not the seller of this item, nor do I have anything to gain from it's sale.

M&W used to make a pump that fit in front of the mag or distributer. They no longer make that pump and parts are hard to find. Your best bet is to use the one that was on the Stage 2 Super H. You may also need the front cover and a heavier cam gear, not sure of that. No such animal for the B, you can add a crankshaft pulley and external hyd pump, if you are good at fabricating. You can use a PTO pump on either, but it won't be live. Although not live, the belly pump on your H will work fine, also. As a kid on the farm, when I drove our H, with either cultivators or a semi-mounted plow, I didn't even know what live hydraulics were. Our B had the exhaust type lift, which of course was "live", I never noticed the difference between it and the H, although I only drove the B for one summer.
