I appreciate the comments, guys. I really dont have the time to be splitting the tractor in half right now, but maybe this winter I'll get around to it. Right now, I need the tractor to maintain 48 acres of property. I'm really glad to hear it's twice the tractor the old N was, because that little thing was a hoss. I wanted to get another N for this property, but I couldnt pass up the deal on the IH. I've always been a red fan for some reason. The tractor has a 5' King Kutter bushhog that's almost brand new, but I have a slightly used 6' Bushhog brand mower sitting down at the barn. For what I need to do, it sound like the 424 will be able to handle the 6' just fine, unless I get into some really thick stuff. The tractor does have power steering, which I figured was basically a necessity with the loader on the front. The left tie rod is a bit loose, but it really isnt that bad. The valve cover leaks and it black smokes a bit when it's cold and you really load it, but I'm not terribly worried. With the amount I plan on using it, it should run quite a while. I'm really excited about it. I stopped by and took the bad hoses off of the loader tonight, and will have replacements made tommorrow, then install them and drive it home. I really want to see how it handles in high range. I'll try to get pictures up this weekend.
