you will need a two way open center valve (like for a log splitter) for each purpose. Don't mess around trying to find an original IH two way valve, they are out there but way to expensive.

You can get a double spool and run both with it. Just make sure it is two way open center.

tap any of the ports on the belly pump, pipe it to the valve, then plump the return back to the belly pump resevoir, either into the fill pipe, or drill out your drain plug, tap to a larger size and plumb it in there.

Happy tractoring and be careful!

Yes with a double spool valve you can. They are available at TSC.

Yes you can, but unless you put a live pump on it you will still have to have the cluth engaged for it to work. IH had a two way valve as optional equipment for them. It can also be fitted with a single, double or even triple spool valve. You run your line to the valve assembly and a return to the resivoir, then engage the tractor hydraulic line and power will go to the other valve.

It should be noted that hydraulic catalogs categorise a double acting valve as four-way. I have never seen a two-way valve. I mention this so that Pat doesn't go nutz trying to find a valve that doesn't fit or a valve that is inappropriate for his application.

A four-way valve has in, out, and two work ports. Four-way valves come in single, double, or triple spool. Pat, if you can afford it, get a triple so that you have an extra circuit that you might use later.
