Just got a 38 F-14 in with 2 speed mounted between clutch and trans. with rod going through back to L shaped handle to shift. This handle sits next to the steering column and the box has numbers H262-1 on it. Can't see any other nos. but they may be there under the dirt or? Has gas starting tank on top with cutoffs changed to rubber and has hydraulic lift mounted on floorboard. Runs good but needs some carb. work.Just curious what 2 speeds they used back then and how these tractors were set up. Supposed to have overbore kit from a Super C in it and has had quite a bit of other work done on it the last few years. Thanks for any help and insight you can give me. Migraine

I think it is a Heisler Road gear. I got one out an F-14. They are not hard to put in. Take off the shield behind the clutch, Take apart the coupler and remove the center part and the transmission input shaft. the road gear bolts right in its place and you hook up the coupler pieces. F-14 differed from F-12s but a few things. the valve covers are one thing to look at. the difference there is the number of nuts holding it down. The head is different I was told. F14s have long brake levers and a tall steering post with a U joint in the steering shaft. The seats can be different also. Most F-12s used the pogo stick style and some used a suspension style. There were 2 types of manifolds, first type has the exhaust pipe dead center of the manifold for disillate type and the gas manifold has the exhaust pipe off center. There may be some more things some of the other guys will know about.
