My boss has a 1969 international 1256. I was bushogging with it a month or so ago and when i used the brake to turn it popped and quit pulling. I checked the hydrolic fluid and ended up putting 5 gallons in it. We got it to the shop and put a new clutch in it and it still wont move. If you change gears without depressing the clutch you can hear the gear grind just a little bit but then it goes into gear. The power steering and brakes still work. The light on the dash does not work but when we put a manual guage in the spot where the sending unit was we didnt get any thing. The smallest mesurment on the guage is 50 psi and it didnt move. Any ideas on what the problem could be?

Thanks for the help. Today we took off the football plate on the rearend and we can see the ring gear turning when it is in gear. Now we have to pull off the canopy and figure out which side is broken. Thanks agian.

Sounds like you have a broken bull pinion shaft. The place you took the sender out and put a gauge in is the lube pressure and will only be around 10-15 psi so your guage is to small. Take the brakes off and check out the bull pinion shafts. Hope this helps.

Sounds like its in the rear end to me but I'm no mechanic. Jack up the rear end and put it in gear with the motor off. If you spin one wheel the other should turn the opposite way if everything in the rear end is still in one piece.
