My Super H seems to be hacig a problem. When I try to start it I can see Propane fumes coming fromt eh exhaust pipe while I am turning it over. When I quite turnging it over the fumes come out the air intake of the carb. I assume this is a problem in the Propane carburetor, but I have no idea how th propane carb actually works, I have taken a cover off and see nothing that jumps out as being wrong. Am I way off line, could it be a problem in the actual carb on the tractor the propane pipes into from the propane carb? I am at a loss here so any help would be appreciated.

I can be contacte at justdoitagain@hotmail.com if anybody has any ideas.

It would start, I just couldnt regulate it and it didn trun right.

I took the regulator of last night and took it apart to replace the diaphrams. I just need to find a place to get them now.

I appreciate the assistance and offer to help further, but I wont be able to call tonight due to work. I really appreciate the offer though. If I cant find the diaphram local I will check with the guy in Lone Wolf. Im going to check with my LP provider first though.

Thanks again
Steve

OK, I took the regulator off, that is what I was calling the propane carb. It says carb on it, but I guess in actuallity it is a regulator. After taking it apart that was confirmed. although it does say "J&S Carburetor company, Dallas Texas, Model BR" on the side plate. It has a diaphram on either side that pushes on the valve to let propane into it. Does anybody know where I can get/order replacment diaphrams. I have had no luck searching. I need to get this tractor fixed pretty quick as I use it quite often.

The problem is in the convertor/regulator. There should be no fuel getting by the regulator until vacuum is applied to the outlet to the mixer. Depending on what system is installed it should, take either 1/2 inch or 1 1/2 inch of negative water pressure to start to open the regulator. this is a very tiny amount. It is the amount of vacuum you would apply to suck water up soda straw that much.

I do not know what problem is sounds like you might have problem with regulator/vaporizer but BE CAREFULL you could have a explosion or fire very easily. Saw tractor with problem similar to yours way back when and vapors drifted back around driver and ignited and he had serious burns on all exposed skin.
