We were pretty sure a couple weeks ago, but as of yesterday the doc makes it official. We are expecting and hoping for a healthy baby in February of 2008! Friends already donated a crib (just told them over supper tonight) and it's already home and set up! For some reason, once we get started on something it goes in fast forward...

Would appreciate a quick prayer from ya'll for a healthy year and a healthy baby come February.

Thanks, Darald! No need to worry about that Farmall A this year, need to save up so she can take a little extra time off work to spend time with the little one.

I don't think there will be time this year, but I always hope to come up there and see your operation in the summer. Lots of rain = lots of hay to cut and the equipment needs to be in tip-top shape. Dad really depends on me to do a lot of the mechanic work these days.

Being a father will be, by far, the most important job you will ever have. And if things go right (as I'm sure they will, judging from your enthusiasm), fatherhood will be the best thing that ever happens to you.

Take it from a guy who has five, and wishes he had a dozen more just like them (okay, maybe five will do).

Being a teacher has been rewarding for me, to see the progress that a child can make in a year is amazing.

I hope that I can be a good dad... I know I'll try my best and be willing to sacrifice for my child. I think it will be even more rewarding than teaching!

Congratulations Steven! Best wishes to you and the new Mom. In a year, you will see how your life is so much more than you can even imagine now. Savor each day. They turn to years that too quickly pass by.

BTW, you're already a Daddy - you have the full title with rights and priviliges thereto, its just that the two of you haven't taken delivery yet. May God richly bless you both!

It is a good thing that IH Farmalls do not get jealous. Your split attention will not cause problems. Why shoot, an IH will handle chores attached to anything made by anyone, even you when they get rides. JimN

Congratulations! Now we know why you didn"t quite have time to get your garage cleaned up:^). May you and your wife have a happy, health offspring and a joyful life. Boy or girl, some wallpaper border would set off the childs room and get them started appreciating "rural life".

You folks are now entering a phase of your lives that will bring forth many rewards and fond memories. Bear in mind, your dad and mum will not have have as much time for you when you go to the Dakotas for a visit. You see grand parents just spoil them, get them all fired up, then send them home to dad and mum. You'll notice I did use the plural. Don't stop at one.

Yep, the Farmall A just got pushed back a couple notches. No big deal, it will still be there in the shed when I'm ready for it.

I don't know about ending up with more than one... of course, those of us in the know already know who is in charge of all of this. I'm hoping that Grandmas and Grandpas will be around a long time to spoil the little one, they have been waiting a while for us to get going on this project! LOL

Thanks. We aren't sure yet if we are going to try to find out or not. I'm happy either way, and will be praying for a healthy baby and mommy above all else.

Friends tell us that it will be obvious by the way she carries, etc. Will have to wait and see how it all pans out.
