I have what I believe to be an IH Little Genius #8 plow with 2-14s. I am currently missing the coulters and related hardware. If anyone knows where these can be found please let me know.

P.S. I am not a farmer. If you can tell me where to find a little info about plowing it would be appreciated.

Andy,
The Little Genius name was used by P & O Plow company, the P & O Plow Company having been founded in 1842. The P & O Plow Company was bought 100% by International Harvester on July 1, 1919. International continued to use the P & O Little Genius name untill sometime in the early 30's when they dropped the P & O and started calling it the McCormick Deering Little Genius, and all othe P & O procucts were renamed McCormick Deering number ? whatever their P & O name or number had been at the same time. The Little Genius No. 8 was available as a 1, 2, 3, or 4 furrow plow with the 1 furrow model available with 18" bottom, 2 & 3 furrow models available with 10", 12", 14", 16", or 18" bottoms and the 4 furrow available with 14" or 16" bottoms. Plane rolling coulters or combination rolling coulters and jointers were available with plain or notched blades in 15" or 18" sizes. Many other options were also available on the Little Genius No. 8. You will probably just have to hunt the internet and possably salvage yards or old farm sites for your parts. Hope this information helps.
