I have a B that I am planning on putting a Woods mower under. It has the pnuematic lift all on it. I am wondering if it would be better to get one of the strong arm lifts, instead of the lift all to raise the mower. Or can the lift all even be hooked up to raise the mower. Also where would I find the Strong arm lift? Thanks in advance, this is a great forum.

I just priced a woods mower for a farmall b this week. They can get all the hardwarefor the lift the only thing I had a problem with was the price they could get it all for around 1600.00. That was more than i was ready for . That was for the only woods dealer in my area.

Gordon,
I have a manual lift that I removed from my '40 A, that I don't need anymore. Don't know if it's the same for a B or not.

yes the one you removed from your A will work on the B be sure to send the spacers that keep the lever away from the steering shaft

The pneumatic lift that came on the "B" is exhaust operated and was not very well liked because of the required maintance it took to keep it operating. The armstrong lift would require mush less maintance and be more reliable.

Thanks for the reply John. I know the lift all system requires alot of maintenance, thats why I am looking at the armstrong lift. Where can the armstrong lift be found, or does the woods corp. make them for their mowers? Thanks again
