My stepfather has a farmall "M" tracter that the clutch will not disengage in. It is the grader type and am not sure if I should pull the engine or if I should pull the back of the tracter off to get to it. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas they would be welcome.

I had trouble with the clutch not releasing on
my Trojan speed patrol. I put it in 5th gear &
had it pulled as I depressed the clutch. It released and haven't had the problem since.

I am looking for the "Trojan" wheel weight for
one side. Mine is missing the right side. I
have had no luck finding one. Can you help me?

I'm not familiar with the Trojan, so this may not help. If it has the same torque tube setup as the normal M, and if it's not a real late version M with 12 inch clutch, you can change the clutch through the bottom without splitting. My 1950 M's clutch wouldn't release. It had a bad release bearing that locked up and ate both its carrier and the fingers on the pressure plate. I changed everything out through the bottom. Biggest job was removing and replacing the belly pump. Search the archives here for clutch and belly pump; there's lots of good advice.

Redrev- use the "Search For:" box at the top of the main Discussion Board message list, right above the page number links. If you type in "Redrev" it will return all posts from you, as well as those reply to yours. There's also a "View Archives" link just above that which will bring up a list sorted by title or author. Happy hunting!
