I'am looking at a td 14 I need to do some cleaning about the place and this one is close to me. can someone give me the good & bad on this dozer. thanks for your help Gordon-(TN)

You must remember this crawler is at least 50 years old, made in the 1940 first, they were as good as anybodys, their best feature was easy starting compared to Cat of that vintage with tempermental pony engine.

Except for the cylinder heads cracking if the coolant level got too low, the td 14 is a good dozer for its size. Over time, many had their fuel pumps turned up to get more power, and you could see some gear problems. If it is kept full of coolant and oil everywhere, you should just see normal wear of tracks, rollers, etc.
