2250 and 2255 loaders, Pro's and con's, differences?

I'm looking at the purchase of an IH 584 or Case IH 585 with a loader. I noticed a BIG difference in appearance between the 2250 and 2255 loaders that seem to be on either of these tractors. Is the 2255 a more heavy duty unit, or why does it appear so much larger than the 2250, especially in the lift arms?

Does either disconnect easily from the tractor when not required (like modern loaders)?
How much can they lift?
Can they, or are they fitted with quick disconnect buckets?

This link has a picture of both loaders. I wonder about the visibility when trying to look around those huge arms on the 2255. The 2250 looks much easier to see around. Any comments?

Thank you for the reply. Would you mind describing how it comes off? Is there just a few pins to pull, then back away?

Is the bucket a quick attach type? I plan on using pallet forks as much as the bucket. If not, can they be converted?

Thanks,
Mike

Pull two pins that you can reach from tractor seat and back out while operating Hy. lever then unhook hoses . Works better than any other QT loader I`ve been around . My bucket is`nt QT but you can get them . My buckets change with 4 pins .

The 2250 is designed for 2wd. the 2255 is designed
for the 4wd and larger 2wd (784,885,995 models).
My cousins have a 885 4wd with the 2255 loader
and it is a quick attach loader. both are good loaders when used in the application its designed
for.

I don't want to disagree, but I've seen 2250's on many 4wd 584's, and probably as many 2255's on 2wd's. I think the 2250 was made by International, and the 2255 was made by CaseIH. They seem to fit the same tractors, since I've seen 2255's on 2wd 584's, but most all the CaseIH 585's have the CaseIH 2255 loader.
