I have a Super C with a broken oil level indicator valve on the side of the oil pan. Can these be replaced without taking off the oil pan? Are they threaded and will they just turn out? I would appreciate your help.

yes they are supposed to screw out with a pipe wrench, they are 3/8's" pipe thread.

Turn it out with a pipe wrench..... use plastic thread tape on the new one,be careful not to "crush" it with the pipe wrench.....I bought mine at a tractor show for $10..... ..

I HAVE AN (A) AND I REPLACED BOTH OF THEM ON MINE. IM PRETTY SURE THEY USE THE SAME OIL PAN. THEY ARE THREADED IN FROM THE OUTSIDE, SO YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO TAKE OFF THE PAN, SOAK IT DOWN WITH PENETRATING OIL FIRST. IT TOOK A 12" PIPE WRENCH TO GET MINE OUT.
GOOD LUCK

I'm not sure about the Super C, but when I replaced one on my H it was turned in so tight that I needed a pipe wrench to screw it out.

I believe so, Had a C with just threaded pipe plugs, so it must have pipe threads
