It will have a L before the serial number and be above 50000. As Guy said only Super M's were built at Louisville from 52-53. (Maybe early 54, memory kinda fuzzy right now!)

I hope Guy Fay will be able to help me with this information request. What are the diferences between Farmall Works Super M and a Louisville Super M? I understand the L & the serial number sequence. What about the three little rectangular pertrusions on the left side of the torque tube? I have only seen these pertrusions on on Louisville Super Ms. Also what about the gear ratios. Many antique tractor pullers are convinced the Louisville Super Ms are geared to go faster. Thank you in advance for the help. assistance.
