I found an F-20. Horrible shape and has been sitting out for years but I believe can be restored. What is it worth? Are these tractors as scarce as I think they are? Is $750 too much? Can I still find parts (engine rebuild, steering wheel, tires, etc.) I have always wanted an F series but I am not as familiar with how easy or difficult it is to buy and restore one of these. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

An F-20 in tip top brand new shape would be worth anywhere from $900 to $1200 in my area. An old junker in the iron pile would be worth scrap metal prices. Maybe a little over depending on completeness and how many parts are completely shot, like rims, engine, radiator. Good tires would just be a bonus. F-20's are really not a scarce tractor. In fact the other F- series tractors I believe are rarer than the F-20. I would say $750 would deffinately be to much. I don't believe I would pay over $200 but I would have to see it first. And if I saw it I might give less. You can get engine rebuild parts but I think they are kind of pricey. Since the tractor is fairly common, you could probably find used parts in salvage yards. F-20's are about as easy to work on as you can get in relation to other tractor's. Although many of the parts are heavy due to the use of caste iron and the heavy casting of everything. I would say if you had cash money in hand and kept an eye out for one for sell, an F-20 would be fairly easy to buy.

The F-20 is my all time favorite antique tractor, unfortunately where I live they are not worth much(south-east New Mexico) I seen one in auction one time go for less then $300-good rubber,no rust, ran good! I've owned 2 in the past and thought I was lucky to get $800 for one,and the other I threw in with a deal to sell another tractor. both had new rubber and ran great. I love these tractors and would like to get another one some day. There is nothing more prettier then an F-20 all painted up with decals.
they are great runners, good luck if you buy the tractor and if you need info or anything just ask!morgan

F-20's are pretty common. 750 may be too much if it is in bad shape. Sleeves and pistons are pricey, about $800.
