Update on my 12v conversion on my H. I had the generator rewound for 12v. But which is better the cutout or the regulator? I really don't wnat to fool with the selector switch on the light box except for using the lights. Is the regular the way to go? Does it look like the factory cutout switch?

I doubt you will find a 12 volt cutout. (I've been messing with old tractor electricals for 30+ years and have never run across one...)

Besides a regulator will do a decent job of keeping the battery up. A cutout and charge control light switch on the other hand requires some skill to operate to keep the battery up but not to overcharge it.
