I have a I-544 Tractor. It has a non-functioning temperature gauge. How do you trouble shot this device? Also can parts be replaced, or do you have to replace the whole gauge as a unit. It looks like the sending unit is non-removable from the gauge assembly.

Havn't seen you on recently.Take the whole unit out and put the sensor in really hot tap water. It
should read around 140 degrees or just a bit low on run. If it doesn't you'll have to replace the whole thing. good luck Geoff

I was afraid of that. With my tractor running the needle does not move. A new whole gauge is in order then.
