Does anyone have photo's they could post of an H with the ARP half-tracks attached? I found a set of tracks off a 9N, but I'm not sure if they will fit the H.

I've got a photo on my hard drive at work showing steel ARPS (?) halftracks mounted to an Oliver 1650. I'll post it if you wish (presuming if I can find it that is!)

I have a set of metal Arps on my '40 H. I bought them for $100 at a farm auction in New York. They were on a Farmall 400 and I had a heck of time getting them off. They must have been on that tractor for at least ten years. The tractor and tracks were offered separately and again as one lot. Despite the low price of the tracks, spliting the sale brought more money.

To make them fit my H, I had to remove three cleats from each side. I didn't like the way the 400 axel housing clamps fit my H so I made some new hardware.

It is fun driving with the half tracks. They throw up twin rooster tails in fifth gear on soft ground.

Sorry, I do not have any pictures. If you find that the Ford tracks are short by about one foot or less, I would be willing to offer my surplus cleats. The tracks are so rugged I don't see the need for keeping spares.

You might want to contact Arps and ask them if they have kits to swap tracks from one tractor to another.

The guy that had the tracks sold them already. Thanks for the offer of spare parts though. Is ARP still in business?

They would be to short, but you could make them longer If you have and extra track. They came in two styles, steel or rubber. I have some parts that might work for you. send me an e-mail.

I have not acquired the tracks yet, I wasn't sure I could mount it on the H if it was originally from a 9N.. thanks for the idea about extending the tracks with another one.

Was it the ones in Merill , Wisc. for $350 advertised here in the classified? I called him quite a few days ago and they were sold. I was looking through my owners manual, and It told the parts needed to mount them on a 38" wheel tractor.

That's a great pic of a great tractor. Thanks for posting it. First time I've seen that rig on a Farmall. Looks like a pretty good traction booster to me!
