Just got a 756 diesel with an M&W turbo on it. The guy I got it from says it has around 100 hp, and I figured that sounds about right. Just wanted to know if any of you had any experiences with these tractors, and just any insight you might have on them. Thanks

I would have to disagree with well on that on,or
maybe he could set down and explain what exactly
is the difference between a 756 rear and a 856 rear,I don't have a clue.I do have a 856 rear in
a pulling tractor with 706 GAS bull gears in it,
because they are lighter,706 diesel is the same as
1066.anyway I run about 1000 horse power and I can't say I have had any rear trouble. So you should be just fine.
P.S.the tranny is the same as 856 also.

Just to make fun of you a little bit, but I noticed you said you run 1000 horsepower in your pulling tractor. I know some guys that would pay some pretty hefty dollars for that kind of power. I know Hugh's 560D put out 100 hp when he used to custom fill silo, so I can see a 756 doing it, but I don't know if I would put that much power throgh a German diesel. I have an 826, so I know what we're looking at, and I know the 358 is only a bored out 310, but I would put it down to 80 to save the life of your tractor unless you absolutely need the power, but if you do need that kind of power you could probably get at least an 856 for the same price, and putting a turbo on that will give you 120 horses without any strain. Good luck

pick on me all you want as long as we are havin'
fun who cares!I'm sure their are a couple people
out there that would pay a few $ for 1000 hp I know I sure had to.If my scanner ever gets fixed
maybe I could post a picture of it.

If you try to pull it at 100 hp for long periods of time, you WILL have trouble. The 856 was rated for 100 horse without turbo and had the transmission and rearend to handle it.
