IMO 414 and 434 were both UK built; 434 were sold in Canada, not in US.

I have a B414 with a gas engine its been a great tractor so far and I've been able to still get all the parts I need for it from my local IH dealer. It uses no oil between my oil changes and the oil stays clean. Not to sure about the Diesels but I've heard they are pretty good also. Ill be upgrading mine so hopefully I'll get it on the photo ads this week. Hope this helps

Alex,

Like Eric stated, the B-414 was only built in Britain. The following IH model was the International 424 which was assembled in Louisville using some British parts and some US parts. The same basic design as the B-414 is still being built in India by Mahandra.

If its a B414 then its british built thats what the B stands for, 434 could be either but possibly American if it has gas engine 414 fantastic little tractor if engine not to worn, glow plugs and injectors need to be in top order for cold weather starting.

The serial number on my Doncaster built 434 has a B suffix, would the U.S. version have a plain serial number only ?

I have a B-414Diesel. I replaced the original glow plug banjo work with a foot type starter switch on the dash and have had no further glow plug problems. It cranks anytime. According to my parts manual that I was able to find at a flea market, it is the same tractor as a 424, 254, etc from the flywheel housing back. Same partnumbers. I like my tractor even with the lift hiccupping. Anyone know of the cure?
