Would like original paperwork on this engine. It appears to me it's not running right. When it is started up cold, it smokes white out left and is running raw fuel out the left side. When it warms warms up, the smoke quits and the raw fuel quits. I understand there is no one who rebuilds the pumps. Does anyone know is there is someone who does this? What is the difference between a 9liter and this DVD 550? Are the interchangable?
Some think the problem is the cam which is no longer available for truck or tractor.

Your local Case\IH dealer should be able to give you the name of a place to re-build the pump and injectors. There is a Diesel Specialties in Sioux City, IA and Omaha, NE. Yahoo found the one in Omaha. The phone number is (402)330-0580. My brother owns his own business in South Sioux City, NE where he works on Cummins pumps and injectors. He will also work on the roosa-masters and the Model 100s on the older IH's. I have never heard him mention working on one off of one of the V-8s. A good repair shop will make the pump and injectors as good as the day they came out of the factory. You can also get what you pay for. If you go cheap you will get a cheap product.
