John: If you wish to run the mower without removing fast hitch. It will be quite expensive but a hydraulic pump on you pto along with matching hydraulic motor on mower will work. You probably should consult a hydraulic engineer to match the pump, motor, bypass and a cooler will be required. I have used systems like this all the way up to 150 hp. They are very effective and you also get a built in over running clutch. I am currently looking at doing this myself, on my Farmall 130 with Fast Hitch. The initial problems I am having is trying to get Woods dealer to price a unit to mount on 130 without having to buy the belt drive. I am quite frankly surprised Woods doesn't offer this as an option. It would make their hook up more universal. I haven't gotten to the cost factor yet, so that may enlighten me a bit as to why it is not done. I think the Woods attitude is if you cant order it from one of their package numbers, then they are going to force you to go to parts. Rather expensive way to buy a new machine. They may find I'll buy someone else's machine. On the hydraulic drive, I am sure if you go to any good hydraulic supplier, tell him your input shaft speed and size, output shaft speed and size and horse power you wish to transmit, he could design, price and warentee a system over night.
