Having trouble lifting my 8' NH rotary mower with hyd. How mouch presure should be on hose, is there a filter? where is fill port? etc.

Hi marv are you talking about a disc cutter?
If you are,im in the same boat,The 3 point raises it fine, but it has problems lifting the cutter bar.It will get it up about 1/2 way and stop and grunt. I have done everything to try to beef it up and havent yet. mine has 1250psi ,the dealer told me that new they only had 1300psi.So im using MY 606 instead,Hope this isnt bad news.CHRIS

I think the pressure should be about 1200 psi if my memory serves me correctly.

Don't know about diesel, but on my 560 gas the fill port for hydraulic fluid is on the deck on the right side of the shifter, it is about 3" semi-triangular shape. Unscrew the three bolts and lift the thin plate steel cover off (it is same shape as the shifter plate, uses same gasket too I think).

The hydro filter is on the right (as you sit on it) side down towards the bottom but on the vertical face of the transmission case, in front of and below the brake pedals. Take off the cover and there is a filter element inside.

The filter cover is about 3/4 inch thick has about 8 or 10 bolts in it put a bucket under it you will only lose a pint to a quart of oil. there should be relief with a screen in a hole in filter on my 460 I have had the screen stop up, quick fix in field sometimes best to replace filter though.
