When to Change Motor Oil?

I use my tractor for shows and riding around. I use it about once a month. Should I be changing the oil every 3 months like a car, or can I let it go for longer? I'm using 10W-30. Thank you.

Jeff, The oil filter on your tractor should say to change the filter elment every 120 hours. I would suggest changing the oil every time you change the filter. I have a Farmall H and it is such a nice tractor I only ride it once a month or so. The oil doesn't get too nasty. It's the air filter and that oil you want to change fairly ofen.

Jeff: I would tend to agree with Paul. I use my tractors a bit more than you folks and change in fall and spring. Up here in the north country they tend to pick up a lot of condensation over winter. I get good use from oil on the one I plow snow with, but not so with other two.

I use my tractor for about the same. I just change it in the fall before I tuck it away for winter.
