hi , i have the oppertunity to purchase a 435T square baler and i was wondering if anyone has any advice on the machine? Has anyone used this model? How much would one be worth with 20,000 bales on it and has been stored since 1980 (stored inside). It was only used 2 or 3 seasons. Any advice would be great.
Thanks Kyle

We ran lot of 435 and 440 and if you have one that ties they are all right but most of them don't and they are worth $250 in Wi. They are built good and easy to use but the all twine knotters are impossible to adjust if they don't tie. My 2 cents.

Dad had a 435 when I was growing up. We put well over 100,000 bales through it without a problem. Dad sold the baler when he retired for $1500. He then bought a 425 that only had baled 10,000 bales (for $1400) to make hay for a few head of cattle on his hobby farm. He sold that this spring when he decided to start buying his hay, had baled 15,000 bales and brought an even $2000 on auction. Both balers had throwers and looked new, always shedded.

i put 20,000 bales through a 435 in one year. they are one good baler. the harder you push it the better they tie. On big winrows I got to counting plunger strokes, 6 strokes to the bale, tie, and throw. I think they are rated at 19 ton per hour.

I have a 435 that never misses on the outside. And never ties on the cut side. It seems to be either missing the second loop or pulling it out. The twine cuts.
