Which loader if any will work for me?

Have a 560 which I am completely in love with, was my grandfathers before I took over the home farm. The farmer up the road says that either one of these loaders will work with my tractor. Neither one of them have any kind of identification on them due to recent paint job, but both are very clean with no welds or stress areas visible on the arms and both the buckets are remarkably straight and clean. One is on a Farmall H and the other is on a Farmalls M. Both have trip buckets, which I would obviously convert to hydraulics upon purchase. They both seem very responsive hydraulicly. I know that the rails between an M and a 560 are almost exactly the same.

The question I have is lengh and width if the frame is the same or similar enough that I can make it work?

I assume the H loader would be too narrow?

Thanks

i don't know where you live but around here the Farmhand F-11 is a good choice. they are a well built loader with hydralic bucket and quick change heads. they can be bought reasonable cuz they won't work on cab style tractors.

leeker: Are these IH pipe frame loaders? If so I would tend to walk away. If they are IH pipe frame loaders built in the 50s, they wouldn't stand up to the 300, M, 400, etc. They will not last very well on the 560. I wouldn't look at anything but a box beam loader on a 560.

The loader on the H is probably a lighter model, designed for a smaller tractor, although lots of small loaders were put on M's as well. I'd go with the one on the M, its PROBABLY built a little heaver & you'll be puting a LOT more stress on it than either the H or M would with a 560. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)
