bought a farmall SMD at a auction for 650 dollars it has four flat tires but the engine is loose I was wonering if I got ripped off.

last night I put 4 new tubes in the tires 2 new front wheels and put new fuel in it. had a john deere A pull me around the feild and after some tinkering and bleeding of the fuel lines the tractor started and ran. no smoke, no leaks so far, runs up real nice. needs a new starter though and alot of work on the gas system. hope to have that fixed in a week. if anyone knows who would have a carb rebuild kit for this motor please drop me a line.

Mike, Iam looking at a 1949 md at this time. It is in nice shape with a Sag. two cyclinder 3 point. Asking price is 3000. Wondering if its worth the price? Any feed back would be appreciated. I also need a carb rebuild kit if I purchase it. Any luck in finding one. Thanks John P.S Prices seem higher here in Calif.

if you ask me you got a heck of a deal since you got it running. I'd buy it at that price. thats cheap around here.
