My power steering and PTO comes and goes during use.
The PTO will start again if I raise the lift arms up and down.
I use only IH Hy-trans and it's full and clean looking.
Is there a filter some where that could be dirty.
I've had the tractor for some time and have only changed filters on the engine.
Has always worked perfect until this year.
I was told that my Power steering and pto work off the same pump.
thanks for any help you can give me.
Kevin

The filter is on the left side just in front of the rear axle. Left side setting in the seat. I would change filter and oil first and see what happens. If you still have the problem then you should check the regulating valve and flow divider.

RAS where is the regulating valve and the flow divider located?
In the MCV?
Thanks

under the filter going straight up are two plugs i think its a 1 1/4 wrench and i think its the front plug take it out should be a spring and the valve should fall out in your hand do you have one brake that works real good? the lining will come off the pads and grind the disk up makes a mess lots of shavings and screws the hydraulics up real good

Actually Yes one brake went out just before this mess.
I never thought about that effecting the Hydraulics.
Do I need to take off the MCV and all hoses, or will the filter catch most of this mess?

I replaced the filter and fluid.
It worked for a minute now it's doing the same thing, however if I load the auxilary remotes
(handle down on the right side under the lift arms control) everything works fine but as soon as I release handle everything stops.
I can also hear what sound like a load on the engine when this handle is engaged.

Thanks
I went to the barn and found a round cover under the left step of the tractor with a center 3/4" bolt, I found the cartridge filter and it appears to be quite dirty and also has some shavings in it. I'll pick up a new one tomorrow and new fluid.
Thanks so much for your help
